The Rev. H. J. Fletcher, formerly of Taupo, will be taking charge of the Normanby Home Mission station for the Presbyterian Church from Sunday week. 1 Mr. A. Biddle, of the Past and Telegraph staff at Hiawera, has resigned from the service on account of illhealth.
The Hon. R. E. Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs, arrived by last evening’s mail train at Stratford, where he is to formally open the A. and P. Association’s Spring Show to-day. Rev. A. H. Collins, at present in charge of the New Plymouth Baptist Church, has tendered his resignation. He has served for fifty years as an ordained minister.
The Hon. George Witty, M.L.C., is to be entertained by the electors in the Rieearton electorate, in recognition of his long and valued services to the constituency.
