MASONIC GRAND LODGE.
ANNUAL COMMUNICATION. (by telegraph —press association. > DUNEDIN,; Nov. 25. The annual communication of the Alasonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand opened to-day, Bro. R. H. Richmond, Deputy Grand Master, presiding. The’ election of officers resulted in tlie unanimous selection of Sir Charles Fergussou as Grand Master and Bro. Oliver Nicholson (Auckland) Pro. Grand Alaster. Other principal elective offices were filled as follows: President of the Board of General Purposes, Charles Rhodes; president of the Board of Benevolence, T. W. Wills; Grand Treasury, Morris Copeland (Auckland); Grand Registrar, C. L. McDiarmid (Auckland) : Grand Chaplains, Revs. C. B. W. Setton (Auckland), J. Perkins (West Coast); Senior Grand Deacons, D. .T. Round (Canterbury) and A. J. Geddes (Southland); Junior Grand Deacons, J. Gordon (Wellington), S. J. Ball (Nelson); Grand Directors of Ceremonies: F. W. Herbert (Auckland), J. Guiness (Wellington), F. R. Flatman (Canterbury), J. M. Rodger (Otago). The report c-f the Board of Benevolence showed that £796 was dispensed in relief during the year. Financial reports showed that the total amount of accumulated funds was £88,89.1, of which £64,658 belonged to the widows and orphans aged Alasons’ fund, and £6440 special war benevolent fund. The installation of the Grand Alaster was deferred till Saturday evening.
