PLUNKET COMMITTEE, At the monthly meeting of the Plunket committee held the other day, at which there were present Mesdames Sutherland (chair), Barleyman, Craig, Gamliin, Roberts, Judd. Poynter, it wa*s arranged to .sell the good.s left over from the stall to the secretary of the English Church bazaar, making the total proceeds from the stall £3O 7s. A letter received from, the Hawera secretary was as under: “Tlhe Central Council would be glad if members of your committee visiting Dunedin during the exhibition would get in touch with the secretary, so that the council may have a.ll opportunity of meeting visiting members and showing them the Tvaritane Harris Hospital, etc.” SAFE! OF WORK. The sale of work in connection with St. Gnthbert’s Church Ladies’ Guild is to he held in Manaia Town Hall on Wednesday night, November 25. A splendid array of goods of all kinds null b© offered, including fancy goods and produce. There will be a number of other stalls. Various competitions will take place during the afternoon and evening, while there will he a bran tub. A. special attraction will be the smallest woman in the -world. A first-class .programme will be submit ted in the evening.
The sale of work will onen at 2 p.m.. and this year’s effort will .surpass all previous efforts- if the work of the organisers is crowned with the success they anticipate.
