A case of suspected murder was revealed at Fremantle when a sack containing the body of a stylishly-dressed young woman was found floating in the harbour by two fishermen, who reported the matter to the The body was found to be inside two sacks, which were tied with rope. It was i'u ly dressed, and was that of a woman seemingly about 25 years of age, with dark-brown bobbed hair. The remains were in an advanced tsage of decomposition. The face appeared to show traces of a violent blow above the nose, but a, post mortem revealed that the brain was uninjured. A doctor said that death was not due to drowning, but might have been caused by suffocation. By appearance the girl had possibly been dead a lortThe police have been advised that Ruby Lee Wood, .aged 21, married, has been missing from her home since July 13, when she ’eft to go to work at her husband’s fruit shop at Subiaco. The missing woman and her husband lived with her people, but the relations between the husband and parents were strained. When she failed to return home the parents asked no questions, but later reported the matter to the police. The father will be permitted to see the body, which, from the description, he be'ieves to be that of his daughter.
