The sheep entries were on the...small side and did not command much atten. tion, but a better tone prevailed when the cattle pens were reached, there bein cr good com petition lor both fats and good quality stores. Fat ewe s reached 30s 6d. and wethers 38s 3d. The highest price for bullocks was £9 As, and for cows £o 10s. The following are the quotations: Sheep.—Five-year ewes in lamb 31s Id; 28 fat ewes 80s 6d; 31 ditto 22s 7d; fat wethers 38s 3d. Cattle.—Fats: Bullocks £9 2s; 8 fat cows £5 2s 6d; do* £5 10s: lat bullocks £8 16s; do. £7 10s. AT WESTFIELD. Prime cows and bullocks wero penned in small numbers, and values showed a rise of 4s per 1001 b. Extra choice ox sold at 38s per 1001 b, choice and prime 34s to 365, others 2os to 325, prime young cow and heifer beef 32s to 345, medium quality 25s to 30s, other 17s to 245. Sheep sold at late rates, extra heavy prime wethers £2 3s to £2 7s 3d, heavy prime £1 19s 6d to £2 2s, light £1 17s to £1 19s, others £1 12s to £1 16s, best heavy prime ewes £1 13s to £1 18s 6d, medium prime £1 9s to £1 12s, others £1 2s to £1 Bs. Pigs : Competition was keen throughput at last week’s prices.
