WELLINGTON RACES. CONCLUDING DAY. (BY TELEGRAPH TRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, July, 11. The Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting concluded to-day in fine' weather. There was a large attendance. The going, though heavy, was much improved. ' Talavera Hurdles. —Many Colours 1, Glenidle 2, Haligan 3. Scratched: General Carrington. Won by two lengths, with half a length i between second and third horses. Time, 3.71. . Novice Handicap. —Captain Wai 1, Town Crier 2, Kilmiss 3. All started. Won by a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.251. Croft on Handicap.—Blue Peter 1, Gardant 2, Adi Vunivola 3. Scratched : Rowley, Olympic, Uleaborg. Won by three-quarters of a length, half a length separating second and third. Time, 1.45. Winter Hurdles.—Lucullent 1, Comical 2, Penury Rose 3. Scratched: Maunga, Wench, Peter Amans, Bonibrook, Dick, All Wind, Otauru Kid, Tenterfield. Won by half a length, three lengths between second and third. Time, 4.59. .Winter Oats. —Alaric 1, Passionate 2, Arch Salute 3. Scratched: Lucius. Won by a nose, three lengths between second and third. Time, 2.01. GRAND NATIONAL SCRATCHINGS.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 11. Carawock and Black Art have been scratched for all engagements at the National meeting.
