SECURITY PACT.
PROGRESS OF NEGOTIATIONS. THE DOMINIONS CONSULTED. A MUTUAL GUARANTEE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Received June 11, 12.40 p.m. LONDON, June 10. In regard to Dominion criticism of the proposed security pact, it is understood that the Dominions were kept fully informed of the progress of negotiations. Undoubtedly their approval and support will be sought before an agreement js reached, but at the present there is no agreement which can lie submitted to them. All that has keen done, so far, has been to indicate the responsibility that Britain is prepared to undertake. It is possible, although such a course is not regarded as probable, for Britain to sign the agreement without the adhesion of the Dominions, binding only Britain. British diplomatic circles emphasise the point that the proposed pact guarantees Germany equally with France.- — Renter.
