♦ SCHOOLBOY BREAKS RECORD. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. MASTERTON, Dec. 1. An outstanding performance was registered to-day at the Wairarapa High School annual athletic contests by T. K. Eastwood, who held the title of senior champion by winning the 100 yards, 220 yards, 440 yards, and 120 yards hurdles, and being second in the 880 yards. His officially recorded time in the 440 yards wa s 514-osec., which is one-fifth of a second better than the New Zealand amateur standard. Eastwood, who is yet in his ’teens, won three sprints in the secondary schools’ tournament in Wellington last week.
