A detective, on making a microscopic eaxmination of Ponlav ’3 clothes, noticed particles of coal dust, and concluded that the body had lain in a coal cellar; Inquiries elicited the information that Tessier always interviewed clients in a coal cellar. A search revealed bloodstains in the cellar where Poulay came to collect his winnings.
