A domestic tragedy is reported from Denmark, 20 miles west of Albany, as the result of which an elderly woman, Elizabeth Blacknell, is dead. The husband, Alfred Blacknell, has surrendered himself to the police. Deceased was' last seen alive on Friday afternoon by her son, who asked her why she was looking so worried. The mother replied: “Our home has been spoiled. It is a miserable affair. ” When the son returned home in the evening he found his mother lying dead in a pool of blood. The police state that the husband has confessed murdering his wife after .a quarrel.
