FATAL SHOOTING.
SIX MEN KILLED
KU KLUX KLAN BLAMED.
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK; Aug. 30. Six men were killed and several injured in a clash in the streets at Herrin, Illinois, and troops have been ordered to the scene. , It is believed the shooting was the outgrowth of the trial of Carl and Earl Shelton for the slaying of Calsar Cagle, a Ku Klux Klansman, in the rioting of last February. The shooting occurred two blocks from the courthouse, aild started when two motor-cars passed each other. Men from each at onceopened fire.
