BETROTHAL.
NEPHEW OF EX-KAISER. MONARCHISTS ANNOYED
BY CABLE- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT
Received Sept. 1, 9.35 a.m. BERLIN, Aug. 31. The ex-Kaiser has consented to the betrothal of his nephew, Prince Wolfgmg, to Princess Marie, daughter of Prince Max of Baden. The announcement has caused consternation among the monarchists, who boycotted and threatened the life of Prince Max because, as Chancellor, he allegedly precipitated the abdication of the Kaiser in 1919, instead of endeavouring to save the monarchy.—Sydney Sun Cable.
