WIN FQR HAWERA TECHNICAL SCHOOL. (Special to Star.) FEILDING, Aug. 27. In the match against Feilding High School the Hawera Technical High School won by 41 points to 3. The game was a good one, played on a diy ground. All the team are well. WELLINGTON v. TARANAKI. CHANGES IN TARANAKI TEAM. It was announced yesterday that of the Taranaki players selected"to travel to Wellington, Sinclair and Kissiek are not available. Priar (Tukapa) goes in as full-back, while Baldwin will take Kissiek’s place in the forwards. Brewster (Old Boys) will be first forward emergency, and Cruderi (Eltham) the second. BENEFIT MATCH. The match arranged between the jockeys ami the Post and Telegraph team, on behalf of Mrs P. Coffey, was played yesterday a.t the Show Grounds, and resulted, after a good keen struggle, in a win for the jockeys by 13 to nil. Mr Arnold was referee. The amount realised at the gates was about £5.

Juniors: Kobin, Watkins, Brown, Shore, Ban-on, Greig, Simpson, Grant, France, Tait, Murphy, Hunt, Hulbert, Ballantine and Thomas. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. SOUTH. CANTERBURY BEATS CHINESE. TIMARU, Aug. 27. South Canterbury defeated the Chinese Universities’ Association footballers this afternoon by three goals to one.
