AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET

(BY TELEGRAPH —PH ESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 27. Stock Exchange sales.—AYar Loan, 1938, £97 17s 6d; New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1938. £9B: Commercial Bank, 30s. CRETCHINGS SALE. WANGANUI, Aug. 27. A erutchings sale was held to-day, when 2340 hales were offered and 1650 sold. Competition for erutchings generally lacked animation, owing to the absence of Japanese orders. The bulk offered were heavy in condition and short of quality; seed also being much in evidence. Prices on an average wore about Id below the rates of the last AYellington sale. There was good competition for all classes of fleece and lambs’ wool, but the quantity was too small to allow of a comparison of prices.
