Lovell beat Mathison 7 and 6. Fair beat Wild 3 and 1. Meldrum heat Chesney I up. Ladies’ championship results were:, Mrs. Hannan beat Miss Harkness 8 and ? Mrs. Slee beat Mrs. Neville 8 and 7. Mrs. Fair beat Mrs. Bird 1 and 1. Mrs. Brodie beat Miss Wylde 1 up. The ladies’ medal was won by Miss Coates with 85 bet. Miss Reynolds was second with 91. The weather conditions were favourable.

Results of play in the ladies’ championships (senior and junior) of the New Plymouth Club are: Seniors.—First round: Mrs. Hill last to Miss Rollo; Miss -Stanford lost to Miss Brewster; Miss Gavin lost- to Mrs. 1 Nicholson. Second round: Miss Rollo lost to Miss Brewster; Mrs. McQuade lost to Sirs. Nicholson: Mrs. Nicholson and Miss Brewster will play the final next week.
