FEAT BY VETERAN. MAN BEATS HORSE. 3Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 25, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 24. In a six days’ contest of 10 hours’ daily at Crystal Palace, C. W. Hart, ex-champion walker, aged 60, covered 345 miles 800 yards, beating a horso ridden by Arthur Nightingale, ex-cross country jockey, and thrice winner of the Grand National, by seven miles 1022 yards. The horse was withdrawn two hours before the finish, leaving the man winner.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
