INJURED BY MOTOR, DRIVER FAILS TO STOP. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) VELLINGTON, August 25. Another serious motor accident occurred on the Huct Road oil Saturday evening. This time the victim v.aV Henry Gerard, of Wellington. MLer being run over, he was left on the road, and was found later seriously injured and unconscious, with his 'scull fractured and his right, arm broken, it is understood that Gerard was walking along the road, when he was overtaken and knocked down by an unknown motorist. He was discovered huddled in the roadway by a man coming in front Petone. There were a number of cars about at the time, and the people who were attending to the injured man recall that one was seen manoeuvring suspiciously, and then left the scene. Gerard formerly resided at Christchurch, whence lie came to a position in Watkins printing establishment.
