RIVERLEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A dance m a.iil of the hall was held last week, when an enjoyable evening was spent by those present. The floor was in good order and excellent music was provided by Mrs. Evans, whilst extras were played by Miss Symes and Mr. Jeffries (accordeon). The duties of M.C. were carried out in their usual able manner by Messrs. A. and J. Gibson.
__ Word has been received from Mr. Y. C. Flack, the contractor for the renovating and additions to the hail, that he expects to start early this week with the work. The factory changed over to cheese on the 16th. and is making sixteen per day at present. Mr. McAlpine, organiser for the Farmers’ Union, lias been visiting this district, and as a result of hR visit has enrolled quite a number of new members, and has also arranged for ii meeting of all interested, '"’at which he will give an addiess, to be held here at 8 p.m. on Thursday, 21st inst.., when it is hoped there will be a good attendance. School closes for the spring holidays ba Fiiday. and the term test examination is taking place this week.
