WARRANT FOR ARREST. PERJURY ALLEGED. 1 BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Aug. 18. The Rev. William Chase, president of the Civic League, which has been investigating the circumstances of the admission of Firpo, the Argentinian boxer, into the United States, has sworn to a warrant for Firpo’s arrest on a charge of perjury. Accordin gto the minister’s attorney (Mr Bernard Sandler) the warrant was served on Tuesday. Mr Sandler said Firpo had failed to tell the truth about Anna Picart, with whom he arrived in the United States recently. He stated an effort would l>e made to have 'Firpo deported before his scheduled bout with Wills on September 11.
