YOUNG PEOPLE’S CLUB. A very enjoyable evening was spent at the Young People’s Club last Alonday evening, the chief item on the programme being the conducting of a town board meeting. Different members of the club took the part of the commissioners, Air. Judd acting as chairman and Rtev. J. D. Smith as clerk. The “minutes” were read and various “correspondence” was dealt with.

A deputation was received from the Young People’s Club consisting of the Alisses Judd, Bennett and Young, Messrs. Hewitson and Hammonds.’ Air. Hewitson spoke on behalf of the deputation stating that if the “town hoard” could see its way clear to providing trees for planting along tlie •streets and around the ladies' room, the club would supply the labour of planting, etc. Afuch discussion was .arouseu. A question of .man'ce was raised, -and the matter was finally left in the hands of a “committee.”

A second deputation was also received from the club requesting that town cows be not allowed to roam the slreeu at night. Miss Judd spoke lor the club and in an eloquent speech described the present unsatisfactory conditions.
