Stories of fabulous profits from small investments are circulated by buyers who last year paid five dollars for a million marks worth of German war bonds and cashed in at the. prevailing quotations of 1750 dollars during the past week. Prussian war loans, w'hich were worth four hundred dollars per million marks three months ago, brought ten times the original sum. Other German securities have risen in proportion. The rise in general is ascribed to the recent favourable reports regarding the*Dawes plan for rehabilitating Germany.—Reute.
