Three representatives of a Vienna Butchers' Association have been visiting Sydney to make arrangements for regular shipments of meat to Austria. Australian frozen meat is already largely consumed in Au-tria. and some time ago an enterprising timber merchant entered into contracts with the principal wholesale butchering establishments to supply him with Australian meat. The supplies proving insufficient to meet demands, the contractor raised price?, which the butchers resented, and combined to send delegates to Australia to arrange for constant supplies at a uniform price. The delegates express themselves highly pleased at the result of their inquiries, and are contident that a large trade can be opened up. They have completed arrangements for the shipment of extensive consignments within the next few weeks, and it is their intention to visit Queensland to make similar arrangements.
