(/•>«•)/( <>ur < >n-n < <>rrt si>',ntlcnt. / At the monthly meeting of the Clive River Board last night, the enstomary rate upon lands liable to ilood inundation was struck. It was decided to ask the co-opera-tion of the Comity Council to erectprotection works at Anderson's corner on the bank of the Ngaruroro, to prevent the river cutting through the road and finding an outlett in Muddy Creek. It was also decided to ask the Government for monetary aw-,tanco, and the Minister of Raihva\s for concessions in the haulage of matt lial needed. The Engineer was instructed to have the breaks made in the Tukituki banks repai red immediately. The Clerk reported a credit balance in the bank of £275. Accounts amounting to £ll 15s were passed for payment.
