Regatta Club.

A meeting was held in the Albion Club Hotel On Saturday evening for the purpose of in. augurating a Regatta Club, nearly sixty gentlemen being present, Mr \V. Brassey was voted to the chair. A resolution was carried that those present use their endeavors to carry out the object for which the meeting was called. The following gentlemen were appointed a preliminary Committee : A. Graham, M.H.R., J. Carroll, M.H.R., Captain Tucker, Captain Winter, Captain Kennedy, Captain Bennett, Dr Pollen, Dr Innes, Messrs F. Parker, Boylan, Cannon, H. E. Johnston, Brassey, P. H. Bourke, Dougherty, A. N. Williams, Fox, Bourne, Kenny, Stewart, Ferris, Nasmith, F. Casein, Nesbiit, Croft, and Hapi Kiniha.

Mr F. Cassin was elected Secretary pro tem, and Mr Nasmith Treasurer pro tem. It was resolved that a Committee meeting be called by advertisement, to be held at the Albion Club Hotel this evening, the 20th inst.

The meeting was adjourned until Saturday, December 1, in the meantime the Committee to see what support they are likely to get, and report to the meeting.
