Bowing Notes.
The members ot the Poverty Bay Club are now being galvanized into activity, and do not mean to be behind the Gisborne Club if they can help it. The boatshed is being got ‘□to repair, and the following have been selected to go into training for trial fours, the races to come off in a fortnight or three weeks:— Buboh’s Crew. W. Burch, stroke C. Hansen, 3 D. Barry, 2 E. Kennedy, bow Mabtin’b Cbbw. A. Martin, stroke J. Read, 3 C. Priestley, 2 8. Gidney, bow Lee's Cbew. J. Lee, stroke J. Walters, 3 T. Turner, 2 A. Lewis, bow Another crew may also be arranged for to enter the contest, with W. Walters as stroke. At a Committee meeting of the Gisborne Rowing Club on Tuesday evening the resignation of Mr E. Brown as Se&etary was received and accepted, and Mr Rawson (Treasurer) was appointed to the post for the time being. Messrs Barnes and Ratcliffe and Dr Pollen were appointed a Selection Committee in connection with the double-scull matches. The selections will be made known in about a fortnight.
