COLONIAL SECURITIES DEPRESSED, A WARNING. THE FINANCIAL NEWS' OPINION. London, November 10. Colonial securities are depressed owing to the “ bearing ” on the market of South Australian stock. The Financial News attacks the excessive borrowing of the colonies, and warns investors that although the seourities of Victoria and New South Wales far exceed those of the other colonies the distinction is not enough at the recognized price of land, At the Lord Mayor’s banquet, Lord George Hamilton said the naval agreement come to by the Imperial Confer ence between the British and Colonial Governments contained germs of co operation capable of indefinite expansion.
