London, November 10. England has advised Abyssinia to cede the disputed territory to Italy.
The democrats carried the elections in New York Ntate by large majorities. This is believed to be an indication in favor of President Cleveland's re-elec-tion as president. Lord Salisbnsy said he was not inclined to attach much importance to the conditions in the conventions arranged between England and France with reference to the Suez Canal and the New Hebrides.
