At the London Bankruptcy Court, on August 17th, the first meeting was held, before Mr Wildy, Assistant Receiver, of the creditors of George Willis, of Askew road, Shephe d’s Bush. The debtor, who is described as no occupation, has been engaged for many years iu a litigation to recover the Jeiutnens estates, valued in Chancery in 1880 at thirty millions. He has brought actions against Earl Beauchamp, the heirs of Lady Andover, and L id Howe, to recover estates which are stated to be in 13 counties, and has spent upwards of £20,000 in law costs, See. The deb s are only returned at £99. The only ere ii tors, E i 1 Beauchamp and Mr Howe, were ia attendance. Mr Holmes, tile debtor's solicitor, stated that if the adjudication of the bankruptcy were delayed, he would in all probability 1 e in a position to make a i offer to the creditors. No resolution was passed, but it was understood that adjudication would not be applied for for one week.
