Tn pursuance of the “ Regulations of ElecJL tions Act," 1881, I, Jamis Boots Returning Officer for the Electoral District of East Coast, do hereby give notice that by virtu* of a Writ bearing date the 26th of August, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as Member for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Gisborne, st Noon, on SATURDAY, 17th September’ 1887; and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken at the Polling places of the said district on MONDAY, the 26th day of September, 1887.
