I Gisborne, Sept. 1,1887. n pumenee of th. “ Regulations of Elections Act," 1881, I, Jamis Booth Beturning Officer for the Electoral District of East Coast, do hereby give notice that by vir. toe of a Writ bearing date the 26th of August, tinder the hand of the Clerk of the Write, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as Member for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomina, tion of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Gisborne, at Noon, on SATURDAY, 17th September’ 1887; and that the Poll, if Decenary, will be taken at the Polling places of the said district on MONDAY, the 26th day of September, 1887.
