Ghastly Calamity in Canada
EXCURSION AND PETROLEUM TRAMS IN COLLISION. A HUNDRED PERSONS INJURED. New Yobk, July 17. A ghastly catastrophe has occurred in Canada involving the loss of 14 lives and injuries to over a hundred persons. An excursion train came into collision with another loaded with petroleum at St. Thomas, Canada. The oil exploded and fourteen persons were burnt to death whilst over a hundred passengers were more or less seriouly injured. The scene was of a most horrible description.
