Negotiations have been opened up between Messrs Adam Porter, A, K, Taylor, aud E Mnchelson, three of the candidates for Eden with the object of two of these gentlemen retiring in favor of one of their number, The Government candidate is Mr Tole, Minister of Justice, Dunedin, Last Night. A split is expected in,(the Proteotibnist camp, the wprkmg toen Motion being anxious to run Sutbhinsbn.
