THOSE HOSPIT/U TRUSTEES. [To tbb Ennoß.l Sir,—l am considerably afnnsed at. the letter from the Surgeon to the Hospital, which appeared in last night’s paper, It appears as though he had got a hornet’s nest about his ears through getting his friend (the Herald proprietor) to publish the Inspector's gport without putting in the date (Novemr 1888). It is a pity he did not put in is date when he caused the report to be published, as it so his eiplanation by way of apology would have been unnecessary. That this date was purposely left out for the purpose of bringing the Committee into disrepute with the public, I have not the slightest doubt, the intention being that the public «rtad it as referring to a present exist,tfe o’ things, whereas such report was Written and published upwards of eight months ago, and the deficits therein referred to have been long since remedied as far as possible, with the exception of the drainage scheme ; and the delay in this respect is caused by the dilatoriness of the Government itself in not forwarding the necessary authority. I may also mention that some of the present Trustees were not even members Of the Board when this wonderful report was published, which makes the republication of it now doubly unfair and dishonest.— lam, Ao., Fam MX.
