After his good win at Auckland a fortnight ago, Level Best, is entitled to be favourite for the Wanganui Handicap, feature event on the Wanganui Trotting Club’s card, to-mor-row. Those that he beat represented good class, and a repetition of that form should find him making it three on end. Victory Handicap: Ist div: Native, Royal, Flambeau. 2nd div: Robin Adair, Gather. Foster Handicap: Jimmy Boy, Luck Ahead, Operetta. Morton Handicap: Gay Jay, Josie Fern, Tranquil Lady. HARIHARI RACES An application from the Harihari Sports Club requesting an alternate date for their annual meeting scheduled to be held on Boxing Day was approved at a meeting of the district committee of the Greymouth Jockey Club. The committee recommended Saturday, January 28 as the date for the meeting.

The Moonlight-Slatey Creek Sports Club forwarded a. programme for its meeting on February 4. It was decided to inform the South Canterbury Jockey Club that it had no objection to that club holding its meeting scheduled for March 18, on December 28.

Application for an apprentice licence was made to the committee by Raymond W. Hausman, employed by M. Conza. The application was recommended.

The Racing Conference advised that a trainer’s licence had been granted to T. A. Silva, subject to the one-horse instruction.
