U.N.O. MEETING AT MOSCOW NOT SERIOUSLY PROPOSED
(Rec. 9.40). NEW YORK, October 4. The Secretary-General of the United Nations, M. Trygve Lie, said today that Moscow had been mentioned as a meeting place for the U.N.O. General Assembly in the year 1953, but this had not seriously been considered.
The New York Times had reported that M. Vyshinsky had agreed, at a dinner recently, to Russia playing host for the Assembly in the year 1953. M. Lie said to-day that it was just an ordinary pleasant round-the-table talk. However, no official proposal, or anything of that kind, was made.
