MOTOR CYCLING RACES AT REEFTON
Riders from Nelson, Greymoutli and Westport conducted a successful meeting at Reefton on Saturday. There were 12 races of- five laps each. Greymouth riders won eight races and Nelson riders three. Some good racing was witnessed by a large crowd of spectators. At times some brilliant riding was seen,- especially that of a Nelson rider, L. Greenham who, on a 250c.c. side valve 8.5. A., registered some fast times. Bad luck was experienced by a Greymouth rider, A. Ash, who .had several mechanical breakdowns. While in a race, Ash was thrown from his bike but gamely remounted and continued with the race. The crowd was quick to show appreciation of his sportmanship.
