FINE OF OVER £35,000
LONDON, Feb. 25. George Victor Smith, aged 61, a stockbroker and company director, was fined at Bow Street to-day £35,130 for offences against the >Finance Regulations and Exchange Control Regulations. There were two summonses fox drawing cheques for £5O and £lOO respectively at Monte Carlo and 25 summonses relating to payments of cash to persons in England in order to acquire shares in a French comPa Smith pleaded guilty to all the summonses.
