Mr C. Reedy returned yesterday from Christchurch. Mrs J. Anderson returned yesterday from Rangiora.

Mr C. McGuire left yesterday for Christchurch, where he will in future reside.

Mr P. Callan, who is a patient in the Grey River Hospital, is making good progress.

Mr J. B. Pearson, district rehabilitation officer, Nelson, is visiting Greymouth.

Mr G. W. L. Fairhall has resigned from the Railways Department at Greymouth, to take up an appointment with the Health Department. He left yesterday morning for Wellington.

The funeral of Miss Catherine Hill took place yesterday morning at the Karoro Cemetery. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church by the Rev. Dr. G. Harrison, while "iso in the sanctuary was the Rev. Father T. Farrell, who conducted the service at the graveside.

The funeral of Miss Johannah Murphy took place at the Karoro Cemetery yesterday morning. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Church by the Right Rev. Monsignor J. Long, Rev. Father S. O’Brien, of Kumara, being also in the sanctuary, and the service at the graveside was conducted by Monsignor Long.

Princess Elizabeth. paying her first visit to a London theatre since the birth of Prince Charles, was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Margaret, and the Hon. Julian Fane, brother of the Earl of Westmoreland. They visited the Covent Garden Opera House to see the “Cinderella” * ballet—London, February 14.

Mr H. W. Bundle. Senior Stipendiary Magistrate at Dunedin, will retire at the end of March. In 1921, he was appointed a Magistrate, and scent two years in Wellington, before going to Auckland, the West Coast, and Christchurch. He went from Christchurch to Dunedin 27 years ago. Aftei’ his retirement, Mr Bundle will live in Nelson.
