Singapore Harbour Workers Start Strike
FN Z P.A.—Reuter Cable']. (Rec. 9.5). SINGAPORE, April 17. A strike of six thousand harbour workers here started to-day, following the expiry and ultimatum which they gave to the harbour board, demanding better pay and working conditions. Twenty-three ships are affected.
