KIWI TOUR PROFITS

Grant to Heritage WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. At a meeting of the Executive of Heritage yesterday, a letter was read from the N.Z. Rugby Union stating that half the net proceeds of the recent tour of the Kiwi Rugby Team through New Zealand would be paid to Heritage in order to help to relieve the difficulties of those children who had unfortunately lost their fathers during the war. To-day Hon. Mr. Justice Smith, Dominion President of the Heritage, expressed sincere appreciation of the decision of the Rugby Union. ‘The work which Heritage is doing quietly and unostentatiously in the interests of fatherless children of this war has been observed by many people,” he said. “The decision of I lie Rugby Union and the words in which it. had been expressed will greatly encourage members of Heritage in the work they have voluntarily undertaken. The Union may be assured that the money will faithfully foe applied in accordance with its desires.”
