The first monthly meeting of the Karoro Women’s Institute was held on Thursday at the residence of Mrs. Trowbridge. Mrs. Dodd presided over a large attendance. Eight new members were welcomed. Mrs. Wildeimoth read the aspirations. The Rod Calls were, “Names and Addresses,,, and “Demonstration Suggestions. Mrs. Richardson was the winner o the cyclamen competition. A number of members decided to attend the group'meeting to be held in the Lyceum Hall on June 19. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Fairhall, Rose and Ellery. A pleasant afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
