A CO-OP. STORE FOR GREY

A.S.R.S. TO CALL MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Greymouth branch of the Amalgam-' ated Society) of Railway Servants, held yesterday, it was decided that the branch take the initiative in establishing a consumer co-operative store for Greymouth and district. To further this end a special meeting is to be held next Sunday at 11.30 a.m., to which all interested in the proposal will be invited. All unions will be asked to send delegates, as it is intended to form a committee to go into ways and means of establishing a store. Representatives of the Runanga and Brunner Co-operative Societies will also be asked to address the meeting. Further particulars will be announced later in the week.

Members stated at the meeting that they; felt the time was opportune to set up a co-operative store., as a good deal of money will be available with the repayment of National Savings falling due.
