SYDNEY RUNAWAY VAN INJURES 29 PEOPLE.

(Rec. 11.30). SYDNEY, June 28. Dozens of pedestrians were mowed down at a busy city intersection in Sydney during the lunch hour to-day, when a delivery van, out of control, raced across the pavement at thirty miles an hour. Nineteen persons, several of them badly injured, were admitted to hospital, while at least ten more, who escaped -with minor injuries, were treated on the scene by ambulance men. The van snapped a stout post, mounted a footpath jammed with pedestrians, and finally hurtled against ! a brick wall. Although mo one was killed, it was one of the worst city I accidents on record.
