AUSTRALIAN WAR PRISONERS.

MELBOURNE, May 8. Mor e than 1000 Australian prisoners of war liberated in Europe had reached England by air up to the end of last week, the Acting-Minister of the Army (Senator Fraser) has reported. Others are arriving at the rate of 100 a day. The general condition of the men. so far has been surprisingly good, only: one in 20 requiring hospital treatment. Most of these cases have been due to undernourishment. Shipping arrangements have been completed, and it is anticipated that the movement of re patriated men from England to Australia: will commence very soon.
