WASHINGTON. Jan. 8. The Navy Department ha s announced that the 1300-ton patrol ship St. Augustine, was sunk in collision with a merchantman off Cape May, New Jersey. The St. Augustine was formerly the palatial Woolworth yacht, Nopara, frequently used .by Barbara Hutton. The Noparo was built at Kiel and cost 1,250,000 dollars.
