WATAROA SALE

Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. report on the autumn sale held on Wednesday as follows:— There was a total entry of 46.5 cattle which was offered to a very good attendance of buyers. The sale was a very even one throughout, with a firming tendency in the closing stages. The cattle sent in by Messrs W. D. Nolan and Sons of Okuru, were of exceptional quality and would be hard to beat anywhere. We sold 40 of this draft, 23 bullocks averaging £l5 9s 4d, and 16 heifers £l3 10s. There is no doubt that vendors are well served at this fixture with good competition from all sources, and with this prevailing they would be well advised to patronise the open market in preference to making private sales. Our entry comprised 170 and the sales were as follows:— For W. D.
