RETRIBUTION!

Scene: London tobacconist’s lockup shop with notice, “Opening at 10 a.m.” A long queue waits. A little wizened old man approaches the head of the queue, but is brusquelj' told he must take his turn. He tries again lower down the queue but again is ruthlessly pushed aside. After a third unsuccessful attempt he shrugs his shoulders and mutters, “Well I shan’t open the shop,” and Walks away.—B.U.P. “N.Z. Truth” Sept. 3, 1941.
