1940 BUSINESS. A decrease is shown under almost all the headings as compared with 1939 in the annual returns of business transacted in the Greymouth. Magistrate’s and Warden’s Courts. Although only a small decline in revenue was recorded, in the Warden s Court, there was a sharp decline in tire number of applications anq in the number of miner’s rights issued. In the civil division of the Magistrate’s Court, more judgment summouses were issued, but in tne other sections, decreases were shown, the amount recovered In civil actions being £7UB 8s lid less than the previous year.
