BOUT FOR STRICKLAND. AUCKLAND, January 7. The executive of the Auckland Boxing Association decided at its meeting to-night to investigate the possibility of staging a match be-
tween Maurice Strickland New Zealand heavy-weight champion, and Ron Richards, Australian middleweight champion. The matter was left in the hands of the match commill ec, which is to report to a special meeting of the executive to be held next week'. Providing negotiations are successful, the contest will take place in the open air in Auckland at. a near date.
