BLACKWATER. Blackwater mines’ return for December: Crushed 3,676 tons, yielded 1,573 line ounces of gold from all sources, including clean-up of old mill, the value of which, taking gold at 168 s per line ounce was £13,212. Working expenses, not including ordinary or war duty, were £8,424. Development expenditure was £645, and capital expenditure £931. Development work carried out during the month was as follows: No. 11 Level North advanced 12 feet on reef averaging 4.l6dwts over 9 inches. No. 12 Level North advanced 27 feet of which the last 6 feet were on reef averaging 14.34dwts over 10 inches. No. 14 Level North advanced 16 feet on reef averaging 19.82dwts. over 29 inches. No. 14 Level South advanced 20 feet on reef averaging 22.89dwts. Over 28 inches. No. 14 Level South B'a,ckshunt Drive at 1295 N. advanced 21 feet on reef averaging 7.s7dwts. over 26 inches. No. 13 Level Winze at H 35 N. advanced 14 feet on reef averaging 23.50dwts. over 23 inches. No. 13 Level Winze at 3350 N. advanced 17 feet in hanging wall country.
